Cristal
This is the next level up from the Premiere Glisse.
There are a maximum of 8 children per ski instructor. This is a group that have generally done a week of lessons with an instructor or they are capable of doing a green run / easy blue in snowplough, whilst being able to control their speed and turn by themselves. The turns are not always textbook at this level. They may or may not have taken a draglift before. NO POLES REQUIRED.

Cristal de Bronze
This is the next level up from Cristal. There are a maximum of 8 children per ski instructor. The children have generally done 2 weeks of lessons with an instructor and by now they are capable of comfortably doing a blue run at a faster speed than the ‘Cristal’ group. They have mastered doing snowplough, can turn easily and they are able to control their speed perfectly. The children can take a draglift by themselves and they are starting to bring their skis parallel from time to time.

Cristal d'Argent
This is the next level up from Cristal-Bronze. There are a maximum of 8 children per ski instructor. The children have generally done 3 weeks of lessons with an instructor and they are capable of doing blue runs with ease and can tackle reds. At the start of the week we would expect them to only be using snowplough for turning and stopping but the majority of the time they will ski parallel. They should already be happy to be going at faster speed. This is the last level we would expect to see any snowplough.

Cristal d'Or
This is the next level up from Cristal-Argent. There are a maximum of 8 children per ski instructor. This group is for children who can already ski parallel and can do red runs with ease. They are capable of skiing quickly and they can modify their speed and the size of their turns depending on the piste and conditions.

Competition
This is the highest level. There are a maximum of 8 children per ski instructor. This is for children who can do all types of piste, in all conditions. This is the most technical group which aims to perfect their style. This group is reserved only for children who can already ski 100% parallel.

Première Glisse
This is the first level for children. There are a maximum of 5 children per ski instructor. To make the most out of being in this class, the children must be complete beginners (i.e they have never been on skis before) or they have done a maximum of a couple of hours with their parents (not with a ski instructor). NO POLES REQUIRED

In order to maximise everyone’s progression and enjoyment we reserve the right to move the children to a more appropriate group if they are not in the correct class at the beginning of the week. We will endeavor to maintain the ratio of number of children per instructor as set out in this letter but as you will appreciate, these ratios may vary slightly from time to time, as a result of any movements between groups. Any changes we make are always with the intention of giving the children the best experience possible.
